Myofunctional therapy is a manual massage therapy that involves a deep understanding of anatomy, the musculoskeletal system, its various joints and connective tissues and how to attain and maintain balance of this system, in turn achieving homeostasis within the body and with its other bodily systems.

Myotherapy uses multiple massage techniques and includes exercise physiology, kinesiology and stretching to give each canine a personalized health plan.

Massage increases blood circulation, healing, mobility and range of motion. Relieves pain and tightness in muscles and connective tissues and can help to relieve inflammation.

Myotherapy is suitable for puppies and adult dogs. Just like humans, our pets can suffer from muscle injuries, growing pains, muscle tightness and general muscle discomfort. Myotherapy is an excellent resource for sporting and working dogs to help recovery, muscle development and performance enhancement via muscle therapy. Myotherapy is also very beneficial for rehab situations, emotional stress, injures, illness and disease recovery as supporting the musculoskeletal system will have a knock-on effect to all other bodily systems.

Currently completing a full diploma of Animal Naturopathy via the Animal Naturopathic Medicine Educatum.
